About Dave Doig
As its President, David has successfully lead the efforts of the Chicago Neighborhood Initiative (CNI) and its partners to coordinate $350 million of new investments.
CNI has yielded the creation of 1,300 new jobs in the Pullman Community through the development of the mixed-use Pullman Park on 111th Street & I-94, which includes the Method Products Manufacturing Facility, Whole Foods Warehouse & Distribution Center, Gotham Greens and Wal-Mart. Dave also helped lead an organizing effort to have Pullman declared a National Monument.
For 25 years, Dave has served neighborhoods throughout Chicago in various nonprofit and governmental capacities, including as a Community Organizer in North Lawndale and as Superintendent of the Chicago Park District.
He has an undergraduate degree from Wheaton College and a Master’s in Social Science from the University of Chicago. Dave is also a member of Millennium Reserve Steering Committee and on the Cook County Commission on Social Innovation.
